Smart Health Move C300 Heart Rate Monitor
Smart Health Move C300 was received from Amazon for review and I have been using it for past week regularly and I find that I do like it. Granted this is not Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart-watch by any standards but for the price I think it offers pretty good features & they do work well.
The Smart Health Move C300 or C400 are comfortable to wear and very light weight. It does not require recharging of the battery unlike most other fitness monitor gizmos. The Lithium coin style 3v battery used in the product is user replaceable and readily available in most places. The battery must last quite a few years before it needs replacement.
This Smart Watch Tracks your daily steps (Pedometer function), calories used (Fairly accurate), distance walked and display your heart rate by pressing a button for about 7-10 seconds. The beauty of this gizmo is the use of Bluetooth LE chipset which enables wrist watches like these to have very low power consumption & yet have Bluetooth communication capability for short data transfer in small bursts to attached clients.

Currently the only Apple IOS app that is listed as compatible with this wrist watch C300 / C400 is ARGUS - A Fitness Tracker made by company known as Azumio Inc. There is no Android app available yet. The API for Android to support Bluetooth LE was introduced in Android 4.3 (API Level 18) - This is sort of new and it will be couple more years for developers to catch up with the technology to see more robust apps which can track your fitness goals.
I did try ARGUS on my Apple iPad (Latest generation) and syncing using Bluetooth from this wristwatch does work effectively. The ARGUS app is free but requires you to sign up for their service by creating an user account & needs access to email for sending notifications and account login features. Overall the IOS app is good extension of this wristwatch and works fairly well. It shows the watch's data (Which you sync with the app) in an eye catching honeycomb style scroll-able display. Looks futuristic and well presented app for IOS.
Overall I think it is somewhat okay product & works fairly accurately. Support for Android users is yet to be announced and may be couple of years before any robust health fitness apps will hit the market to use Bluetooth LE features of this little new gizmo. Price will eventually come down and will be an attractive buy to monitor your fitness activity with a wearable gizmo.
As it stands today this gizmo gets three stars from me. Future announcement of Android APP will change this rating to 4 stars.
