This wicked smart Battery charger is indeed an excellent charger when it comes to 'quick' efficient charging Marine & Car batteries.
Most of the other cheap products which only manages to 'trickle' charge with low amperage is good only for maintaining batteries which are rarely used. Some of those chargers in the market dumbly charges batteries which in the long run can damage costly batteries by overcharging them and damaging the plates. This NOCO product on the other hand constantly monitors the state of charge of your connected battery and adjusts the current & voltage as needed to bring batteries to optimal state of charge.
If your battery is half empty or completely dead using those low power battery maintainers will take days to charge a large car or Marine battery. This charger on the other hand has enough current (up-to 7.2 Amp) to get it back into perfect shape in less than half a day! without having to worry about overcharging or damaging the batteries.
I have thoroughly tested this for about 2 weeks now and I have gotten excellent state of charge of two of my car batteries every-time I have attempted it. I even tried rejuvenate one of my 10 yr old car battery that was lying around in the garage and got it back to 75% SOC using the desulfation mode.
