PL2510 Pro-Logix 10 Amp Battery Charger with Boost

Pro-logix 10 Amp battery charger was received from Amazon and I have been testing it for past few days. I am pleased to report that it seems to be working well. 10 Amp charging current seems to be the sweet spot when it comes to charging most lead acid based car batteries with respect to the time it takes and also to avoid heavy charging current which in some cases can cause excessive acid boiling.

In the past I have tried NOCO Genius G7200 12V/24V 7.2 Amp Smart Battery Charger and I always wished that it had the capability to charge smaller 6V batteries. Now with this SOLAR PL2510 I can charge smaller 6V motorcycle batteries too with this. For your kind information, If you spend little bit more you can get a SOLAR PL2520 Pro-Logix 20 Amp Battery Charger with up-to 100 amperes of engine starting assistance which seems even better.

The product is solid built. It has Built-in FAN for cooling the charger that comes ON only in '6Amp' and '10Amp' modes. In '2Amp' mode it is silent operation perfect for charging smaller batteries. It comes with heavy duty battery clamps with 14AWG wire. The AC power cord and battery clamps can be rolled nicely into the unit for storage.

The only quibble I have with this product is the Bright Blue LEDs that glare at you for Voltage & Amp Selections. I solved that problem by slowly lifting the top face plate sticker and put some semi-transparent blue tape where those bright blue LEDs are now the LEDs indicators looks professional just like the charging status indicator LEDs which have some semi-transparent layer underneath them to diffuse the light evenly.

Overall a nice solid battery charger, You can get one of these by using the link below:
