This 6-LED Solar Light with Motion sensor plus Dusk/Dawn mode is nice little gadget that one can permanently attached to RV or boat. The LED light output is adequate enough to see the area directly below making it useful as a porch light for RVs. The light output however is not warm white which I like but it has that blueish white light output found in most cheap flashlights. The small solar panel attached does help to charge the built-in rechargeable batteries and seems efficient. You need to understand one thing however, Since this cannot be hardwired to your RV you need to ensure that the location must get plenty of sunlight during the day for it to work properly.
The Build quality is little on the cheap side. The plastic parts especially the Solar panel was rattling when I received it for review. Looks that someone forgot to glue the Solar panel to the assembly. I removed the assembly to inspect the parts and I saw that the solar panel is merely held in place by wires and no glue but a slight touch of hot glue at the two wire ends. The Circuit board however is well designed. The manufacturer attempted to seal the holes and switch assembly with rubber seals to make them water tight. There is also a rubber gasket for the whole assembly which is impressive. But since the Solar panel is poorly mounted I am afraid that all that engineering feat to make it water tight will be waste of effort to prevent water leakage into the internal circuitry nevertheless a good attempt from the manufacturer for the price it is being sold for.
You can fix the Solar Panel mounting yourself by sealing the panel using water tight glue. Overall the product does work as advertised and does not require batteries to operate. The Motion sensor works very well. The light is adequate enough to light up the RV stairs and surrounding areas.
