Epson V11H584220 PowerLite Home Cinema 500 Silver Edition Projector

This Epson Home Cinema 500 (Silver Edition) is a very good projector for the price. I have been testing this and happy to report that it works beautifully just like most other reviewers have already commented. The `3 Chip' LCD produces excellent color clarity and the image comes out sharp and even the letters (Like subtitle and other text) comes out clean and crisp even on a regular white wall.

The native resolution of this projector is 800x600 (SVGA) but it also supports 16:9 modes, but 4:3 is the native mode. It has automatic keystone correction (So that your projected image does not look like a trapezoid) the menu system is very easy to learn and use. The speaker is Mono and while it is not the best it does its job reasonably well for a small room. Love the ability to display photos using a USB stick. No need for PC for photo slideshows.

The lamp becomes ready fairly quick and produces bright images even in moderately lit rooms. The FAN does make some noise but nothing too distracting. It does turn off immediately when you power off the projector which might decrease the longevity of the lamp? The IR sensor is included both in front and back of the projector so that the remote works great from any angle. The color reproduction was perfect for a projector of this price range what more can you ask?

Overall this projector is priced right perfect for showing off home movies, outdoor movie night with family and friends. All you need is Popcorn!
