Corsair Flash Voyager GO 32GB USB3.0 micro USB OTG

Corsair Memory is an American computer peripherals and hardware company headquartered in Fremont, California who are world renowned for their innovative products in the personal computing and notably their high speed DRAMs, SSD and host of other PC peripherals. I have used this company's product before and always had good experience with them.

'OTG' in other words is USB 'On-The-Go' feature of Android OS while this has been around for a while most manufacturers somehow or the other do not publicize this often or fail to implement this feature properly on their phones and tablets. This does not necessarily mean a product defect for those popular phones & tablets wherein this OTG function does not seem to work as manufacturers tend to lure their customers into using their online or cloud services to get the same results of OTG.

Popular third party Services like Dropbox can ultimately achieve same results but requires multiple steps to upload your files from PC to cloud and fetch it back from the cloud onto your Android phone or tablet. Having said, Android OS & hardware manufacturers of tablets and phones are mostly undecided whether or not to implement OTG. With this experience I can tell you that for most of the users might find themselves in the same situation as me which does not necessarily mean this device is bad but merely it is just because 'OTG' feature on Android OS is currently finicky at best.

My best advice to everyone would be to first check and make sure that your phone or tablet has 'USB' Micro-B port that is compatible with this OTG USB flash drive before purchasing it. Second, install an APP to see if your device has this feature enabled. A free app that is currently available on Google Play known as "USB OTG Checker" which quickly and effectively determines whether your Android phone or tablet supports 'USB OTG' feature. Then depending on OTG implementation on your device you might just get lucky.

If you get lucky you will find this device indispensable! Transferring files between PC and Android OS based phones and tablet will become super easy and fast. As far as me I found 'NONE' of my tablets that I currently own have supported this elusive 'OTG' feature. But Luckily my other Android phone from Motorola Droid RAZR M XT907 saw this corsair 32G stick without much of fuss.

Bottom-line: Excellent product design but check compatibility with your Android phone, phablet or tablet first!
