Oreck has been making vacuum cleaners for decades and this Oreck Magnesium RS is one of their best efforts into making vacuum cleaning more of a pleasure than a chore. I have been using this for past couple of weeks and while I do not have a longevity report on this model but based on the past experiences with Oreck products I can safely say it will last for a decade or more. Oreck's warranty is 7 years and comes with 5 annual tune-ups.
A lot of reviewers have already laid out the salient points of this vacuum cleaner and while I do not want to repeat the same I would concur with all stating that those statements are true. This vacuum cleaner is very lightweight & pleasure to use because of SlimSwivel Design and the ability to lay flat to get dirt below furniture's.
With all the good things about this vacuum cleaner mentioned here then why 4 stars? you might wonder - The reason behind this rating is an average combined results mainly because of the initial high price, little poor suction power, slightly nosier than most Orecks and below average LED lighting power and sort of expensive replacement bags which needs to be considered as the total cost of ownership over next 7-10 years.
