As most people on Amazon have already pointed out the minor shortfalls of the product I do agree with them. The issue for me is the placement of ON/OFF button in a odd location which is very close to the hot titanium ceramic plates which in my humble opinion is less desirable for most users as the chances of getting your fingers touching the Titanium ceramic are far greater than if it were to be on the topside of the product. I am not saying it is 'unusable' but more of an annoyance and inconvenient at best.
Having said, I recently had the chance to review another offering from Conair which happens to be another premium quality flat iron which has fully touch operated design which is far better than this model. That product is Infiniti Pro by Conair 1" Digital Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron The price is very similar and I am sure you will agree it is much safer product to use. Having said, This one heats up pretty fast ultra quick 15 – second instant heat up of up to 455 degrees and straightens the hair rather nicely just like the alternate product mentioned above. I would have preferred & loved this product more if the controls were located on the topside of the flatiron and also had locking mechanisms to protect accidental contact to the Titanium ceramic plates.
Despite these minor observations this flatiron is fully capable functional product.
