Energizer Vision HD 6AA Performance Metal Light

This review is going to be for Energizer Vision HD 6AA version of the LED flashlight. I must admit like many other reviewers who has rated this with 2 stars or lower on Amazon are honest in expressing their opinion on this product and here is why:

CONS

• The cover for installing the batteries is very hard to push down and tighten at the same time why? because it is too smooth and slippery.
• There is absolutely no grip whatsoever and the flashlight tends to slip away from your hands very easily. There are some indentations made on the aluminium casing for improving the grip but that merely tends to scratch the skin but does not really help in improving the grip to hold the flashlight
• The product picture may show a picture of a lanyard but the HD 6AA version *does not* have provision to install a lanyard. You may find me paranoid or hate me if you like but I personally refuse to use a flashlight especially of this size and weight without a lanyard for safety.
• There is an embedded plastic marking on how to insert batteries and which polarities needs to go where but those are hardly visible as they are etched in 'black' on 'black' plastic. However there is a warning posted on the box that never insert batteries backwards! Please be careful when inserting batteries and ensure that positive terminals are down and the cover side is negative for both the batteries.

PROS

• In the brightest setting the Light output is phenomenally bright daylight bright at about 900 Lumens! - Very Very bright light!

Yes! that is the only positive thing about this LED flashlight.

WARNING: Please be warned that the LED light output is so bright that it can easily blind you if you stare at it directly please do not let your child play with this flashlight.

Sorry since there are several other models and competition from other manufacturers who offer LED flashlight in the same price range and are much more practical and usable I am forced to rate this with two stars (I do not like it) Please understand that there are better alternatives available in this price range. ~- Not recommended!
